A course map will be available in the packet at pick up. (Also available through the Fulton County School Cross Country Championship web site fultoncounty.chattxc.com.)
ENTRY FEEs:
We have adjusted the entry fees to provide for easier access to the meet for the smaller programs and to spread added expenses associated with the number of runners (EMT, Sanitation, etc.) across larger programs. (Please contact Coach Harris if this adjustment will negatively impact your participation. Our goals are, first to have all the county high schools participate and second to limit our booster clubs loss.)
| $60 | Up to fourteen competitors |

OFFICIALS:
USATF officials will handle the start and manage the finish chute and the scoring of the meet. They will also police the course for rules infractions. In order to provide course policing, per the officials request, we have committed to utilizing numbers for easy identification of runners involved with infractions.
FIELD USAGE:
Upper soccer field will be used for the start. It will be available no later than 2:00 pm on race day. The rest of the course will be open at 1:30pm for course inspection, etc.
The location of the staging area will be identified at packet pick-up. It also will be available after 1:30 pm on race day. After 1:30, please set up “camp” and tents in the staging area. Please follow all directions provided, regarding the staging area on race day.
Awards ceremony will be held immediately after the Varsity Boys race is scored. The location of the awards ceremony will be identified with packet-pickup.
BUS PARKING:
Buses can drop off in the parking area adjacent to the lower soccer fields. Bus parking location will be provided to the drivers as they drop off the athletes.
PARENT/SPECTATOR PARKING:
Parking may be at a premium because of the public nature of the park. Let your parents know that they should arrive early. They may park in either of the first two lots (two entries per lot) as you enter the park. They are located at either end of the soccer fields. There will be volunteers to help identify overflow parking options.
DIRECTIONS TO WEBB BRIDGE PARK:
From Ga. 400 (going north): Take the Old Milton Parkway exit. Turn right at the end of the exit ramp and go east on Old Milton Parkway. Go about 2 ½ miles, through several traffic lights. You will come to the intersection of Old Milton Parkway and Kimball Bridge Road (at least it is called Kimball Bridge Road to the right). It is the intersection right after the Publix and Taco Mac on your right. There is a light there. Turn left at that intersection. That is a continuation of Highway 120. Go about ½ mile and turn left onto Webb Bridge Way. There is a light there also. In about 100 meters, turn right at the next light. That is Webb Bridge Road. There is a post office on the right. The entrance to the park is at the end of that road on the left in about another 300 meters.
From GA 141 (going north): Turn left onto Highway 120 (Abbotts Bridge Road). Then cross Jones Bridge Road. Go another ½-mile to a mile and turn right onto Webb Bridge Way. There is a light there. In about 100 meters, turn right at the next light. That is Webb Bridge Road. There is a post office on the right. The entrance to the park is at the end of that road on the left in about another 300 meters.
ROSTER SUBMISSION:
Please email a copy of your
roster by Friday, September 26th. Please follow-up with a list of expected
Varsity runners by Wednesday October 1st. This will allow time for determination of JV Race allotment and organization of the tags, pins, etc. (There may be an electronic form available on the
county meet website).
TAGS FOR SCORING RACES:
All
races will be using full size number tags with tear off bottoms for scoring.
(Varsity tags may have a bar code to speed the varsity scoring.)
All
runners will need to fill these out prior to their race with their name,
school and graduating year. (Varsity may be pre-filled to minimize difficulty with reading the
athlete’s writing)
They
need to write legibly and pin them on properly. (Do not pin through
“scoring” tear-off hole.)
The
tags will be available in your packets at check-in in the staging area
starting at 2:00 pm.
If
you would like to receive the tags in advance to pre-fill your own, please
contact Coach Harris.
Finish
cards will be handed out in the chute for “Quick Scoring” and as a
backup to the tear off tag.
The
officials will capture the team order of finish as a third back-up.
A
video tape may be made of the finish. This tape will only be used to correct
athlete/school associations. The angle will not be such as to provide for
“finish place” assignment.
HOLDING FOR WEATHER DELAYS:
There will not be an ability to make up the meet. The meet director may adjust the starting times, racing order, and/or make-up of the race in consultation with the coaches in the case of a delay.
T-SHIRTS:
There will be Fulton County Championship T-Shirts available.
PLEASE CLEAN UP:
We ask that you have your kids police your areas leaving the park in better condition than it was found. Trash bags will be put into your packets. If we do a good job of this, the likelihood of us being allowed to continue holding the meet at this site increases.
QUESTIONS/ PROBLEMS/ CONCERNS:
Please feel free to call me with any of these. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you all on 10/4/2008.
