We have two weeks, with two long hard days, two interval hard days and a Predator Run to continue making the improvement we need to not only shatter our personnel records, but to prepare to compete for the five County Championships available... Those workouts along with our speed work and recovery runs are critical to continuing the momentum!!! Be prepared metnally and physically and the results we have been looking for will continue to come...
(Splits, etc, will be available tomorrow afternoon)
Hooch Cross Country pays a visit to Pensacola Beach along with an unwelcome guest “Tropical Depression Number Ten”. Other than a lot of rain and wind that did keep us wet (and busy adjusting our race plans) it didn’t turn out to be much.
The Cougars competed in the 18th annual Seafood 5K, leaving with fifteen of the twenty awards provided to the 14 through 19 age group! The “Hoochie Mamas” walked off with all their age group awards, ten of ten, and the first annual Seafood Festival XC Team Championship!!! The Cougar boys took five of ten and were second to the Florida 3A #1 ranked team. The athletes had a great time competing and bonding, overcoming everything a cross country overnight could throw at them and coming out stronger and more focused on the task at hand as we step closer to our championship races!!!
